It may have only been his second appearance for Team Melli, but Steven Beitashour has wasted no time making a name for himself on the Iranian national team.
He tallied his first assist for Iran in their decisive 3-0 victory over Thailand on Friday. Beitashour played full 90 - his first start for the team - and assisted Team Melli's second goal in the 43rd minute.
Iran now leads Group B with 10 points in 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualifying. The team next faces Lebanon on Tuesday, November 19.
