World Cup: Wondo, Dynamo's Brad Davis best friends & teammates again -

Somewhere in Jacksonville, Harry Nilsson’s classic track “Best Friend” is playing over a passing drill between Chris Wondolowski and Brad Davis.

A bromance has rekindled in the build up to Brazil as the two best friends and United States teammates continue their preparation for a June 16 bout against Ghana in the 2014 World Cup.

Wondolowski and Davis were teammates with the San Jose Earthquakes in 2005 and with the Dynamo from 2006-09. Both stars in Major League Soccer, Wondolowski and Davis were invited to the 30-man U.S. National team camp in Palo Alto and later added to the 23-man World Cup roster on May 22. Just days after punching their ticket to Brazil, both shared a sideline suite with their families at Buck Shaw Stadium for a game between the Quakes and the Dynamo.

Talk about a bonding experience.

According to Fox Sports, both vacation together with their families in the offseason with Mexico as a typical destination.

The annual Wondolowski and Davis family vacation will take its next stop in Brazil as the two get set to represent their country at the world’s biggest stage. Instead of stepping onto the Mexican coast, Wondolowski and Davis will be stepping onto the pitch for their country, the most memorable “vacation” yet for these two best friends.
