Be a part of history and join us for our inaugural season at Avaya Stadium as a part-time employee! We're hosting an Avaya Stadium Job Fair on Saturday, January 10 for part-time game day staff for the 2015 season. 


Details: 

Where: Avaya Stadium - 1123 Coleman Avenue across from the San Jose International Airport. Parking available in the lot behind the stadium off of Newhall Drive. Follow signage to the Job Fair.
When: Saturday, January 10 from 10am - 2pm
Who: Anyone interested in working for the Earthquakes and Ovations as part of the game day staff. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States, must be 18 years or older and must bring a valid form of identification.
What:
Positions include ushers, bartenders, suite servers, concession workers and more. 


The Earthquakes will conduct interviews for the following positions:

Fan Relations Usher - responsible for assisting fans on game days and other Avaya Stadium events as needed. Ushers will serve as a friendly, primary point of contact for San Jose Earthquaks Fans in their respective positons. Ushers must be personable and able to work in a face paced environment while assisting customers. 


Ovations will be hiring the following positions:

Bartender -  responsible for serving guests hard liquor/beer/wine during events while ensuring all policies and procedures regarding alcohol dispensing are followed. 


Catering Lead/Wait Staff - responsible for serving guests in the venue Suites, Catering and Club In-seat areas. 


Concession Line Cook - responsible for preparing concession menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment.


Customer Service Representative - responsible for greeting guests in a pleasant manner while filling food and beverage orders.


Distribution Worker - responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of food, beverage and paper stock throughout the venue. Will also be responsible for delivering beer kegs and soda supplies to the appropriate concession stands with attention to accuracy and organization.


Executive Chef - oversee the direction of the kitchen’s daily activities in accordance with Ovations policies and objectives to ensure guest satisfaction, profitability and a positive, productive and compliant work environment.  Responsible for overall kitchen operations, including food and labor cost controls.


General Manager - responsible for the efficient, professional and profitable operation of the assigned Ovations’ venue. This individual ultimately oversees every managerial, f/t and p/t position, and ensures full compliance with state and federal labor laws, sanitation and food-related ordinances, and alcohol service regulations. In addition to managing the day to day business operations, the General Manager solicits new sources of revenue, both on and off the venue property.


Kitchen Cook - responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests throughout the venue and is responsible for working production line stations, Sautee and Grill Stations, must also communicate and coordinate production for Fry and Cold Station and work directly with Executive Chef to coordinate and deliver quality menu items to our guests throughout the stadium.


Kitchen Dishwasher - responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the kitchen and restaurants by maintaining cleanliness standards through the operation of dishwashing equipment and sinks, polishing silverware, removing garbage, cleaning of equipment and work areas including the sweeping and mopping of floors. The Kitchen Utility Worker will also assist in general food preparation for events.


Assistant General Manager - responsible for assisting the General Manager with the efficient, professional and profitable operation of the venues. The Assistant General Manager aids the General Manager in overseeing every managerial, f/t and p/t position, and ensuring full compliance with state and federal labor laws, sanitation and food-related ordinances, and alcohol service regulations.


Office manager - responsible for managing a full range of accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll reporting and GL entries. Perform month end closing work, account reconciliations, and profit statement reporting to management. Safeguard company assets, and provide data and fiscal support to other departments within the company.


Receiving Clerk- responsible for receiving in product and verifying the accuracy to vendor invoices and ensures that product is rotated and checks dates for freshness. Assists with general distribution duties in addition to their daily receiving.


Suites and Club Seat Wait staff - responsible for serving guests in the venue Suites, Catering and Club In-seat areas. Suite & Catering Club Wait staff must be personable and able to work in an ever- changing fast-paced environment.


Vault Cashier - responsible for processing, balancing and reporting of cash receipts during events. The Vault Cashier will assist in preparation of starting banks, balancing of event change orders and other related cash functions.
