SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes have increased their donation total to aid victims of the recent flooding in San Jose. Originally pledging to contribute up to $10,000, the Quakes will now match all donations made through the end of the team’s preseason match tomorrow against Sacramento Republic FC.

The fundraiser organized by the Quakes Foundation has already received donations of more than $12,000, which will be matched in full. The Oakland A’s are also contributing $10,000 towards the cause. All money raised will be given to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
The Quakes are also providing complimentary tickets and transportation to and from tomorrow’s game for all families in affected areas of San Jose by partnering with LuxBus America, Royal Coach Tours and Uber. LuxBus America and Royal Coach Tours are contributing multiple busses that will pick up passengers from the shelters at James Lick High School and Evergreen Valley High School at 12 p.m. Complimentary Uber rides will also be available at the two high schools and Shirakawa Elementary School with promo codes provided by the ride-sharing service. Busses will be departing Avaya Stadium after the match at 4:30 p.m. and Uber rides can be redeemed postgame in the Uber Zone across the street from the stadium.
People from the affected areas of San Jose may call the Quakes Front Office during normal business hours (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) today at (408) 556-7700 for assistance with transportation.
