Lindo Mfeka Named to USL Team of the Week
San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Lindo Mfeka has been named to the USL Team of the Week following his performance with Earthquakes USL affiliate Reno 1868 FC.
Reno earned the first win in club history with a 4-0 thrashing against Phoenix Rising FC on Saturday night. Mfeka provided assists on Dane Kelly’s goals in the 66th and 76th minutes, and achieved a remarkable 94 percent passing accuracy during the match.
Kelly also received recognition for his performance, being named the USL Player of the Week after scoring three of Reno’s four goals.
Mfeka was selected by the Earthquakes with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft and was signed by the club on April 6, 2017. He has spent the majority of the 2017 MLS season on loan with Reno.
