SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today the selection of 2017 Red, White and View Support the Military Packages for the California Clasico against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, July 1, presented by Sutter Health. The fourth annual event helps send members of the military to the highly anticipated summer contest at Stanford Stadium, which has drawn more than 50,000 fans every year since 2012.

A variety of package options are available, beginning at $220. Each package comes with tickets to the game, limited edition Earthquakes-branded digital camouflage military-themed scarves, a donation to Operation: Care and Comfort and will allow members of the military to attend the rivalry match free of charge. Each package, depending on price, will send a set amount of military members to the Clasico and the Quakes will match the number of tickets donated. Select packages will also provide a VIP field visit and tickets to a future match at Avaya Stadium to the purchaser.

Since 2014, the Red, White and View packages have sent more than 10,000 members of the military to the California Clasico. Similar to years past, the Quakes will honor military members with an on-field presentation at halftime. The 2017 campaign comes in part with further efforts to support the armed forces. The Quakes have partnered with Titanium Racing Inc. to host the Dash for the Troops at Avaya Stadium on June 4, also benefitting Operation: Care and Comfort.

About Operation: Care and Comfort
Americans support our Troops serving in times of war in many ways: Writing letters, mailing care packages, welcome home events, or by showing support for a deployed service member or Veteran's family. Americans open up their hearts, homes, and wallets to show that they support those who serve our country. The unique programs of Operation: Care and Comfort (OCC) (an all volunteer 501(c)(3) organization) carries on this tradition allowing caring Americans to donate their time, talent and treasure to honor those currently serving our country and those who have served.

Operation: Care and Comfort came to life in April of 2003 when the three co-founders decided to combine their efforts to support the military troops in the Bay Area that were stationed in combat zones overseas. In those early stages, they became a part of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross and grew from there, thanks to the hard, work and dedication of its volunteers.
