When a Quakes game falls the day before Father's Day, it becomes Father's Day(s). This Saturday at our match vs. Sporting Kansas City, the Quakes will be honoring dads all over with a special day at Avaya Stadium.
To kick things off, we wanted to show our appreciation for some of our longtime father/son Season Ticket Holders with a little surprise. With help from our Fan Relations department, we selected a couple of our most dedicated fans, Doug Huston (Section 113) and Tom Hanhauser (BMW Club 26), and arranged with their families to surprise them at their homes on Friday. Everyone's favorite mascot Q came along to present them with a special Father's Day gift.
The prize pack included an autographed Quakes jersey, a pass to watch warmups on the field on Saturday and various other Quakes merchandise items.
Doug and Tom were even already wearing Quakes gear. (We swear we did not arrange that part!) They were both totally surprised, expressed their pride in being part of the Quakes family and we were glad to help them kick off their long Father's Day weekend.

- Supercuts contest: Get your hair styled, cut or colored in the 7UP Epicenter, post a photo with #QuakesDad, and you will be entered to win 2 Quakes jerseys. The winner will be chosen at the game!
- #QuakesDadis back! Post all throughout the weekend with the hashtag and we will retweet.
- Nick Lima's father will take the ceremonial first goal before kickoff.
- Quakes players and coaching staff will walk out onto the Avaya Stadium pitch with their children moments before the game at 5:45.
