FEATURE: Maya Evans becomes first Quakes Girls Academy Player to Verbally Commit to Play Division 1 Soccer

This past week, the San Jose Earthquakes Girls Development Academy reached another milestone in the club's short history.


Maya Evans, center back from the class of 2020, was the first player from the program to verbally commit to play NCAA Division I college soccer! In the fall of 2020, Evans will be starring for UC Berkeley.


In addition to her success at the academy level, the Millbrae native has recently been called up to the U-16 United States Women's National Team Camp.


Prior to joining the San Jose Development Academy, the defender played for Burlingame Soccer Club and De Anza Force Soccer Club.
