SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will host a viewing party for their Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Semifinal match against Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at Rookies Sports Lodge in Downtown San Jose. The viewing party will start at 5 p.m., with the match scheduled to kick off at 5:30 p.m.

Fans can enjoy giveaways and will have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win an autographed Quakes jersey or tickets at the viewing party. Fans can also take advantage of Rookies' happy hour from 2-6 p.m., which includes 20% off their entire bill.

The Quakes will take on Kansas City at Children’s Mercy Park in the Semifinals after defeating the San Francisco Deltas 2-0 in the Fourth Round, Seattle Sounders FC 2-1 in the Round of 16 and the LA Galaxy 3-2 in the Quarterfinals. The Quakes hold a 17-13 all-time record in U.S. Open Cup play.

The match marks just the second time in club history that the Quakes have played in the Semifinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, having previously faced Kansas City on Aug. 24, 2004 at the Blue Valley Athletic Complex in Overland Park, Kan.

Should the Quakes win on Wednesday, they will face the winner of the other Semifinal match between FC Cincinnati and the New York Red Bulls in the Final on Sept. 20.
