NEWS: Earthquakes to Host Mexican Heritage Night on September 16, Presented by PG&E

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will celebrate Mexican Heritage Night at Avaya Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 16, presented by PG&E. The Quakes will host Mexican National Team forward Erick ‘El Cubo’ Torres and the Houston Dynamo, which kicks off at 7:15 p.m.



As part of the festivities, Mariachi Los Toritos will be performing live in the 7UP Epicenter pregame, along with Mexican folk dancing group Grupo Los Laureles Juveniles. 


In addition to the music and dancers, the stadium will have Luchadores, the popular Mexican wrestlers, complete with their colorful masks and high-flying acrobatics. Fans can also visit a booth in the 7UP Epicenter to enter to win one of four Q Mascot piñatas that stand three feet tall or a tres leches custom made Earthquakes cake.


The game will also take place on Mexican Independence Day, celebrating 207 years.
