SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will host Fan Appreciation Day, presented by Pierry, on Sunday, Oct. 22 during the club’s final home match of the 2017 MLS regular season against Minnesota United, scheduled to kick off at 12:45 p.m. The Quakes will celebrate fans throughout the week leading up to the match, capped off with a number of tributes on game day.


Throughout the week, the Quakes will be running competitions and providing fans with prizes leading up to the match. On Monday, Oct. 16, fans can post their best fan photo for a chance to win an autographed copy of FIFA 18, and on Wednesday. Oct. 18 they can retweet a Quakes’ Twitter post to win a 2017 primary jersey. On Friday, Oct. 20, the Quakes will be at San Pedro Square Market from 12-1 p.m. where fans can win tickets to the Oct. 22 match. Fans should follow @sjearthquakes on Twitter to stay up to date with opportunities to win.

On match day, the first 5,000 fans that enter Avaya Stadium will receive a Quakes cell phone wallet and stand, courtesy of Pierry. Quakes fans can enter to win a player’s jersey off his back or an autographed Kick Childhood Cancer game ball at the brand ambassador booth in the 7UP Epicenter. The Bay Area-based hip-hop and R&B brass band The Brass Animals will also be performing in the 7UP Epicenter pregame. Given the earlier kickoff time, the Quakes will offer brunch food specials, with breakfast burritos, Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s available at certain locations in the stadium.


At halftime, a combination of 10 fans, staff and members of the Earthquakes family will be recognized on field with Devotion Scarves. The Quakes started recognizing those who have shown true devotion to the club with scarves in 2015, and will announce the 2017 winners ahead of the match.


Following the game, the TCL 4K Bar will be open with The Brass Animals performing again in the 7UP Epicenter. Earthquakes players will also be in the Epicenter signing autographs and taking photos with fans.


Throughout the day fans can enjoy the We Score You Score discount at the Quakes Team Store, powered by Gyft, which is currently at 42 percent, reflecting the number of points the Quake have this season. This percentage could increase depending on the result against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Sunday, Oct 15.
