ACADEMY UPDATE

The Academy teams return to action with a busy game schedule after a bye weekend.


On Thursday, Nov. 30, the Quakes Boys’ Academy will face Orlando City SC at the U-19 level. On Friday, Dec.1, the U-17s will face Virginia Development Academy and U-19s will face North Carolina FC Youth. On Saturday, Dec. 2, both U-12 squads will face Star Academy FC and U-17s will play Crew SC Academy. On Sunday, Dec. 3, the U-19s will face the Chicago Fire, and on Monday, Dec. 4, the U-17s will go against the Chicago Fire.


The Quakes Girls’ Academy teams have a busy two weeks ahead of them. On Wednesday Dec. 6, the Quakes Girls’ Academy will face Sky Blue - NYSC at the U-15 level. On Thursday, Dec. 7, the U-17s will play the Michigan Hawks and U-19s will face FC Kansas City. On Friday, Dec. 8, the U-15s will play Indiana Fire Academy. On Saturday, Dec. 9, the U-15s will face the Houston Dash, U-17s will play Oakwood Soccer Club and U-19s will take on Weston FC. On Sunday, Dec. 10, the U-17s will play Charlotte Soccer Academy and U-19s will face PA Classics.


UPCOMING EVENTS
Winterfest Returns to Avaya Stadium this Sunday, Dec. 3

The San Jose Earthquakes’ second-annual Winterfest will return to Avaya Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 3 with twice as much snow as 2016. The holiday-themed festival will take place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The two-acre 7UP Epicenter at Avaya Stadium will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a variety of activities, including a giant inflatable snow globe and arts and crafts stations. With 20 tons of snow available for snowballs and snowmen, fans will have an opportunity to have a true winter experience and should arrive early to catch the snow before it melts. Attendees can also take photos for their annual holiday cards with several photo opportunities set up throughout the 7UP Epicenter.
