SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will compete in the Mobile Mini Sun Cup preseason tournament, presented by Phoenix Rising FC and FC Tucson, from February 3-24 in Tucson, Ariz. The matchups and times of all Mobile Mini Sun Cup matches, gated and non-gated, will be announced at a later date.
San Jose is one of 11 MLS teams participating in the tournament, including Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy, New England Revolution, Portland Timbers, New York Red Bulls, Real Salt Lake, Seattle Sounders FC and Sporting Kansas City.
“Tucson has done an incredible job setting a gold standard for MLS preseason and we’re excited to enhance that and make it bigger than ever,” said Phoenix Rising FC club governor Berke Bakay.
The Quakes have participated in preseason in Tucson every year since 2010 and went undefeated in the 2017 Desert Friendlies with a 2-0-1 record.
