JT Marcinkowski - catch

Last Wednesday, December 6, the Earthquakes announced the Homegrown Player signing of goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski. Marcinkowski, who competed for both the Quakes Academy and PDL-affiliate Burlingame Dragons FC, also suited up for the United States U-20s and Georgetown University.

After the signing, Georgetown issued a press release announcing Marcinkowski would forego his senior season and included a quote from head coach Brian Wiese:

“I'm extremely proud of JT and he deserves this opportunity. He is as ready to tackle the challenges of being a professional athlete as any player I've worked with,” said Wiese. “JT has been our starting goalkeeper for the past three seasons, and we will miss his steadying presence in back. He leaves very tough shoes to fill. What I’m most proud of is that he will be continuing his education and is committed to graduating with a Georgetown degree.”
