PRESEASON: Quakes return to Tucson to prepare for 2018 MLS season

Earthquakes Preseason - Tucson - 2018

For the eighth time in the last nine years, the San Jose Earthquakes will be spending a portion of their preseason in Tucson, Arizona.

The annual getaway puts the team in close-quarters to bond for 10 days. The sunshine also provides excellent training conditions for the club as they prepare for the 2018 season.

While in the desert, the Quakes will play two games – Jan. 31 vs. Portland and Feb. 7 vs. Real Salt Lake. The match against RSL will be streamed, with more details about that being announced later.

San Jose will have the good fortune of health and availability as the team flies down this evening, as all players remain active participants in training sessions. Defender Nick Lima, fresh off his first stint with the U.S. National Team, will be meeting his teammates in Tucson.
