Feb. 12, 1999 – Acquired Defender Jimmy Conrad as MLS Discovery Player

The San Jose acquired defender Jimmy Conrad as an MLS Discovery Player in 1999. He played with San Jose for four seasons, tallying two goals and six assists in 84 games. Conrad started and played the full match in the 2001 MLS Cup Final where he helped the Quakes earn a 2-1 victory against the LA Galaxy from the backline. Conrad would later be called up to the United States National Team and currently hosts a well-known soccer channel on YouTube.


Feb. 14, 2008 – Acquired Midfielder Ramiro Corrales from the Houston Dynamo 

The Earthquakes signed Ramiro Corrales in exchange for allocation money on Feb. 14, 2008. Corrales played 12 seasons with the Earthquakes and was an integral part of the Earthquakes’ MLS Cup winning teams in 2001 and 2003. A long-time captain of the squad, Corrales is the Earthquakes’ second all-time leader in games played (250), games started (228) and minutes played (20,188). Corrales became the ninth player to be inducted into the Earthquakes Hall of Fame on Sept. 5, 2015.


Feb. 15, 2011 – Signed Midfielder Khari Stephenson

The Earthquakes signed midfielder Khari Stephenson on Feb. 15, 2011. Stephenson played with the Earthquakes for five seasons, tallying 10 goals and 10 assists in 92 games.
