NEWS: Earthquakes Midfielder Magnus Eriksson to Drop Ceremonial First Puck at Sharks Game on Thursday

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will have a strong presence at SAP Center on Thursday, March 8 when the San Jose Sharks take on the St. Louis Blues. Quakes players and mascot Q will be involved in festivities throughout the night.


Earthquakes’ Swedish midfielder and Designated Player Magnus Eriksson will drop the ceremonial first puck. He will also meet with several of his countrymen competing for the Sharks, including Tim Heed, Melker Karlsson and Marcus Sorensen. Earthquakes mascot Q will be present, joining Sharks’ mascot S.J. Sharkie as they interact with the crowd.


A special ticketing package is available for fans and includes a co-branded Quakes and Sharks scarf and can be purchased here.


Later this month, the Quakes will host Sharks Night on March 31 against New York City FC, scheduled to kick off at 4:45 p.m. Sharks-themed activations will be available in the 7UP Epicenter, including a slap shot booth, and Sharkie will attend the match. Cobranded Quakes and Sharks beanies are also included in a special ticketing package, available here. Additionally, the first 5,000 fans through the gates at Avaya Stadium will receive Quakes socks, presented by Valley Health Plan.
