LOOK BACK: At the Quakes opening night victory over Minnesota

As the San Jose takes to the road for the first time this season, visiting Children's Mercy Park Saturday, let's take a look back at the Quakes opening day victory vs. Minnesota.


The San Jose Earthquakes opened the 2018 Major League Soccer regular season Saturday, March 3, with a 3-2 win against Minnesota United FC at Avaya Stadium. Earthquakes forward Danny Hoesen notched a brace and Designated Player Vako also found the back of the net for the home side.


Defenders Harold Cummings, Jimmy Ockford and Yeferson Quintana along with midfielder Magnus Eriksson made their Earthquakes debuts in the match, with Cummings, Eriksson and Quintana making their MLS debuts.


The Quakes return to action on Saturday, March 17 against Sporting Kansas City. The match kicks off at 5:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Bay Area Plus, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
