The San Jose Earthquakes return from their two-match road trip and will host the Portland Timbers on Saturday, May 5 at 7:15 p.m. PT. Saturday’s game will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Bay Area, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
Earthquakes legend Chris Dangerfield will be inducted into the Quakes Hall of Fame at halftime during the match on Saturday. Dangerfield played for the Earthquakes in 1982, 1983 and 1985, returning to the club for one final season in 1988. He served as the team’s TV color analyst from 1996-99, as well as 2014 to present.
The Quakes suffered a 2-1 loss to Columbus Crew SC this past Saturday, April 28. Quakes forward Danny Hoesen scored his third goal of the season during the match.

The squads faced off for the first time as members of the NASL in 1975 in San Jose and the Earthquakes were victorious 2-1 with Ilija Mitic scoring both goals for the Quakes ...
