RENO, Nev. – After a stunning debut in Reno 1868 FC’s Starting XI on Saturday, Sparks product and Reno midfielder Kevin Partida earned USL Team of the Week honors on Tuesday.
Partida notched his first goal as a professional soccer player on Saturday in Reno’s 2-0 win.
The screamer from outside the box ricocheted off the top crossbar and into the net setting Reno up for the club’s first home win this season. The goal is nominated for USL Goal of the Week.
The defensive midfielder also completed 34 of 40 passes, recorded three tackles and a blocked shot Saturday night.
Partida and Reno 1868 FC take on Rio Grande Valley FC at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday to kick off a four-match away trip.
