SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes joined Major League Soccer today in announcing Soccer For All month, taking place throughout June. Clubs across the league will conduct activations during the month to foster more inclusive communities, with the Quakes hosting Pride Night on June 9 for the match against LAFC at 7:15 p.m., presented by Wells Fargo.

The Soccer For All platform signifies that everyone is welcome to MLS, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status.  To join the conversation, fans are encouraged to use #SoccerForAll on social media.

To kick off the month-long celebration, the Quakes and the LA Galaxy will wear Soccer For All t-shirts during the procession and national anthem at tonight’s match at StubHub Center, scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. and will be televised on UniMas.

On June 9, the Quakes will host their annual Pride Night, which will see a variety of activities in the stadium to honor the LGBTQ community. The corner flags, goal nets, LEDs and captain’s armband will all be pride-themed for the match, and the week leading up to the game, the Quakes will fly the pride flag next to the USA flag and California flag at Avaya Stadium. The first 5,000 fans that enter the stadium on June 9 will receive rainbow sunglasses, courtesy of Wells Fargo. During the pregame festivities, 99.7 NOW!’s St. John will perform and there will be a LGBTQ resource fair in the 7UP Epicenter. Members of the LGBTQ community will also hold a giant pride banner on the field.

The Quakes Foundation will sell Soccer For All scarves at the match on June 9, benefitting You Can Play, a social activism campaign dedicated to the eradication of homophobia in sports. Earthquakes Season Pass Holders will have exclusive access to a presale for the scarves, and they will also be for sale at the Quakes 50/50 Kiosk under Section 113 on the day of the game.
