In the Earthquakes last match, forward Chris Wondolowski scored the Quakes’ lone goal to secure a 1-1 draw against Toronto FC. Wondolowski’s goal was the 141st of his MLS career. He is now just five shy of breaking the all-time MLS goal-scoring record held by Landon Donovan (145).

Settling In
Earthquakes forward Dominic Oduro, who was recently acquired via trade with the Montreal Impact, made his debut for the Quakes against Toronto FC last Saturday on Aug. 18, 2018. The Ghanaian forward entered the match in the 89th minute.

Quakes Foundation Shares Indestructible Soccer Balls Through #QuakesPlayOn Campaign
The Quakes Foundation unveiled the new #QuakesPlayOn campaign, focused on empowering the Quakes family to share the soccer love by donating an indestructible soccer ball to someone in need. Every member of the Quakes front office, technical staff, First Team roster and Quakes Academy received a One World Play Project soccer ball to share with an organization or person of his or her choice. Quakes Host Women's Soccer Appreciation Night
The San Jose Earthquakes will host Women's Soccer Appreciation Night on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Avaya Stadium. Join the Quakes for a pregame talk with two of the most influential women in Bay Area soccer, including former U.S. Women's National Team defender and current Quakes TV Analyst Danielle Slaton, and Quakes Academy and U.S. YNT star Sophie Jones. Participants will then have the opportunity to take part in an on-field experience before the Earthquakes host FC Dallas at 7:45 p.m. Read the full story here.

Quakes Analyst Danielle Slaton Joins Historic Broadcast
On Sunday, August 19, Quakes television analyst Danielle Slaton was heard on a national soccer broadcast, however it wasn’t from Avaya Stadium.  When the New England Revolution took on DC United at the new Audi Field, Danielle, alongside Lisa Byington and Katie Witham, teamed up on Fox Sports to form the first all-female broadcast team to call a men's professional soccer match. Andrea Kitahata Called Up to Under-15 Girls’ National Team
Quakes Academy defender Andrea Kitahata and the Under-15 Girls’ National Team will travel to Weifang, China from Aug. 15-27 for the CFA International Women’s Youth Football Tournament Weifang 2018 that will also feature the hosts, Japan and the Czech Republic. Weifang is located about 300 miles southeast of Beijing. Read the full story here.

Avaya Stadium to Host Cal vs. Sac State Soccer Match on Sept. 6
The San Jose Earthquakes announced that Avaya Stadium will host a men’s college soccer match between the University of California, Berkeley and Sacramento State University on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. The non-conference NorCal matchup is the first NCAA contest at Avaya Stadium since the Women’s College Cup in December 2016.
