Magnus Eriksson became the first Earthquakes player other than Chris Wondolowski to score two penalty kicks in a season since Ronnie Ekelund in 2004 (three).

Past Success
This Wednesday, the Earthquakes will face Western Conference leaders FC Dallas after earning a 3-1 win against the side earlier this season. The Quakes are undefeated in three consecutive matches against FC Dallas dating back to April 2017.

The San Jose Earthquakes will face Liga MX’s Cruz Azul at Avaya Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 5:15 p.m. in an international friendly. It marks the first time that the Quakes will face Cruz Azul in any competition, and the match will be televised on Univision Deportes in the United States, and on ESPN Deportes in Mexico and Latin America as part of the MoneyGram SocioMX Tour 2018. Quakes Defender Guram Kashia to Receive UEFA’s #EqualGame Award
San Jose Earthquakes Georgian defender Guram Kashia of Georgia has been honored by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) with the inaugural #EqualGame award for acting as a role model in promoting diversity, inclusion and accessibility in European soccer. Kashia, who also serves as the captain of the Georgia National Team, wore a pride captain’s armband for his previous club Vitesse Arnhem during the match against Heracles Almelo on Oct. 15, 2017 as part of the Dutch Football Union’s campaign to promote diversity. Earthquakes to Donate Proceeds from Upcoming 50/50 Raffles to Aid Victims of Carr Fire
The San Jose Earthquakes will donate proceeds from the 50/50 raffles held during matches on Saturday, Aug. 25 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Wednesday, Aug. 29 against FC Dallas to aid victims of the Carr Fire in Northern California. The funds will be sent to the Shasta Regional Community Foundation to help fund relief efforts for the fire that has burned more than 230,000 acres and displaced more than 35,000 people from their homes.
