MISCELLANEOUS NOTES: Milestones for Nick Lima, Chris Wondolowski

Nick Lima @ LAFC - 2018

Representing the Club
After starting and playing 90 minutes this past Saturday, forward Chris Wondolowski surpassed 24,000 minutes with San Jose (24,011). He becomes the sixth player in MLS history to surpass 24,000 career minutes with a single MLS club. Wondo, currently at 24,928 total MLS minutes between San Jose and Houston, would become the 32nd field player to ever reach 25,000 career minutes in the league should he play at least 72 minutes on Saturday.

Fast 50
Earthquakes defender Nick Lima made his 50th start for the club on Saturday. He became the Quakes’ first Homegrown Player to reach the milestone.

Homegrown Keeper
Homegrown goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski made the first two starts of his MLS career last week, recording 10 total saves. He became the third Earthquakes keeper to make at least 10 saves across his first two starts, following Jon Conway (2000) and Andrew Weber (2009).

Heavy Workload
Nick Lima has played 2,689 minutes so far this season, second most among all non-goalkeepers in MLS (Union’s Auston Trusty – 2,700).

Shot Taker
Earthquakes Designated Player Vako ranks third in MLS in total shots this season with 108, trailing only Toronto FC’s Sebastian Giovinco (142) and Atlanta United FC’s Miguel Almiron (132).
