You’re officially a Quakes Devotion Scarf recipient! Explain what it means to you to get this honor?

I am humbled to be considered for this award. After 15 years of supporting the club, it is a great honor to receive this award.

Talk to us about your Quakes fandom. How long have you been cheering on the black & blue? What is your most memorable moment?

On April 19, 2003 I co-founded, with Dan Margarit, the San Jose Ultras. Since then I have attended San Jose Earthquakes games regularly. 

The greatest comeback in MLS has to be my most memorable moment. I remember that before the game we had decided to cheer for our team no matter what. This is the standard that we have set for ourselves ever since.

Who is your favorite Quakes player and why?

Troy Dayak, he influenced my early days as an Earthquakes fan, that’s why he has a special place for me. He represents the fighting spirit of this team and sets the example for every player that wears the San Jose Earthquakes jersey. 

What would be your message to Quakes fans out there?

No matter what you do, we will be there for you, supporting black and blue. This is what sets apart an Ultra from a regular fan.
