SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes, MLS WORKS, San Jose’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) and the U.S. Soccer Foundation will unveil a new mini-pitch at Arena Green Park in San Jose Thursday afternoon. The Quakes have now supported the construction of three mini-pitches in the Bay Area since 2016.
What: The mini-pitch will offer children in San Jose a safe place to play, while providing a soccer environment that encourages unstructured play with local communities and supporting the continued growth of the game in North America.

Neil Rufino, Deputy Director, San Jose Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services
Bruno Marchesi, California State Director, U.S. Soccer Foundation

An inaugural youth scrimmage on the new pitch will follow the ceremony. San Jose Earthquakes players will serve as celebrity coaches for the match.
