NEWS: Quakes Alumni and Familiar Faces Highlight 2019 Digital Content Series

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announce their newest digital content series for the 2019 season. New and familiar personalities, including the return of Marvell Wynne, will be showcased in videos, podcasts and other media as features on Quakes social media and the Quakes website, sjearthquakes.com. Below are the series to look forward to in 2019.


Off Pitch 74

Season 2 of the popular Quakes podcast gives listeners off-the-field details about the first team. Twice a month, hear from front-office personalities Sam Sirico and Dianne Antonopoulos as they talk about the Quakes organization. Topics include MLS news, social media run-downs, player interviews, and replying to questions from the fans.


Around MLS Podcast

Tune in to our newest podcast where Ryan Covay and Marvell Wynne bring you the latest in news from around MLS. Earthquakes players and other special guests will be brought on to discuss game matchups, player news and to answer fan questions.


On the Sticks

Join Quakes eMLS athlete Alan Ortega (CaliSCG) as shows off his skills in FIFA19. On the Sticks will feature Ortega taking on eMLS players from around the league, playing agains current Earthquakes players and giving tutorials on the skills that make him one of the best players in the world.


Tactical Breakdown

Two-time Olympic medalist and current Quakes television analyst Danielle Slaton breaks down key plays from the past week’s match. Slaton will lend her expertise on analyzing plays, formations and important moments from the Quakes throughout the season.


Quakes and Answers

Former Earthquakes player Marvell Wynne returns to the Quakes in a way you’ve never seen before. Watch as Wynne asks current players and coaches the questions fans really want to hear the answers to.


Walk and Talk with a Quake

Earthquakes alumnus Marvell Wynne and Hall of Famer Chris Dangerfield trade off introducing fans to Quakes players off the field. Whether it’s a walk from the practice field or a journey through downtown San Jose, Walk and Talk will show you a side of the Quakes players that you haven’t seen before.  


Instagram Guest Photographers

Throughout the season, the Earthquakes will give up the keys to their Instagram account and invite local photographers to take over for the day. The takeovers will give fans unique perspectives of Avaya Stadium and the game day experience. Stay tuned for our guest takeovers on the Quakes’ Instagram account, @sjearthquakes.


View from the Booth

Quakes play-by-play radio announcer, Ted Ramey, will provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look at his reactions to the key plays at each and every home match. Take in the sights and sounds of the Quakes radio booth with this new series.


Live with Ryan Covay

Ryan Covay from 95.7 The Game is coming back to Avaya Stadium to provide a fan perspective and in-game commentary for all Quakes home matches this season. On match days, Covay will check in on Facebook and Instagram Live to preview the upcoming match, discuss the highlights and take questions from fans. Following the matches, Covay will head to the TCL 4K Bar to discuss the game with fans in person.
