Reno 1868 FC opened the 2019 USL championship season with a 2-2 draw against Orange County SC on Saturday at Greater Nevada Field. After a scoreless first half, goals from Reno forward Brian Brown and midfielder Lindo Mfeka saw the club lead by two goals against the visitors approaching the 70-minute mark. Orange County SC responded with a goal of their own in the in the 78th minute to reduce Reno’s lead to one goal. Orange County were awarded a penalty just before the final whistle, and midfielder Aodhan Quinn forced Reno to settle for a point.
Reno will host Austin Bold FC in their second match of the 2019 regular season on Saturday, March 16, with kickoff scheduled for 1:45 p.m. Tickets for Saturday’s match can be purchased here.
