SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes defender Guram Kashia and midfielder Vako have been called to the Georgia National Team for the upcoming international window.
Kashia and Vako will join the Georgia National Team for matches against Switzerland on Saturday, March 23 (7 a.m. PT) and the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday, March 26 (12:45 p.m. PT) as part of their UEFA EURO 2020 European Qualifying campaign. Georgia looks to qualify to their first-ever UEFA European Championship, which for the first time in tournament history, will be held in 12 different venues around Europe.
Kashia, 31 has scored two goals in 70 prior appearances for Georgia. The defender signed for the Quakes midway through the 2018 season and has made 14 appearances for San Jose since.
Vako, 25, has tallied 10 goals and three assists in 39 prior appearances for Georgia. He joined the Quakes in June of 2017, starting 41 matches and scoring 15 goals so far for the black and blue.
