Our U-17s have arrived in Frisco, Texas ahead of the Generation adidas Cup, the most elite competition among players in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. San Jose Earthquakes Homegrown Cade Cowell, who has been training consistently with the first team, will be competing with the U-17s in the Generation adidas Cup.
The Quakes' first match of the GA Cup will be streamed live by the MLS2 Twitch channel. The U-17s will face Denmark's FC Midtylland on Saturday, April 13 at 7 a.m. PT. Stream the match here.
The San Jose Earthquakes U-17 Boys’ Academy are set to compete in the Premier Division of the Generation adidas Cup. Of the 20 teams in the Premier Division, 13 come from MLS Academies, three come from Liga MX and the rest hail from Denmark, South Korea, Iceland and Jamaica.
This year's installment of the GA Cup will see teams from different groups playing against each other. Group A teams will play against Group B teams while Group C teams will take on Group D teams. The Quakes will compete in Group A alongside Atlanta United FC, Chicago Fire, D.C. United and Liga MX's Club Tijuana.
