SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will celebrate pride at Avaya Stadium on Saturday, June 8, when the club hosts FC Dallas, presented by Wells Fargo. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. and 10,000 fans will receive a pride-themed armband, courtesy of Wells Fargo.


The annual pride celebration will feature numerous activations to honor the LGBTQ community.

Gregory Sherrell and Shannon Clark of Mornings on 99.7 NOW will serve as the celebrity drummers.


The corner flags, goal nets, LEDs and captain’s armband will all be pride-themed for the match, and the Quakes will fly a rainbow flag next to the flags of the United States of America and State of California at Avaya Stadium.


During the pregame festivities, a Bay Area DJ will perform and there will be an LGBTQ resource fair in the 7UP Epicenter. Members of the LGBTQ community will also hold a giant pride banner on the field and will later be recognized at halftime.


Pride-themed merchandise with be available in the Quakes Team Store. Earthquakes players will also be warming up in pride warmup tops that will be auctioned off during the match, benefitting the Quakes Foundation.
