San Jose Earthquakes players Nick Lima and Jackson Yueill were both called up to the U.S. Men’s National Team training camp ahead of the Gold Cup. The training camp gave new players the opportunity to play in the USMNT’s international friendly against Jamaica but no one could have guessed that both Quakes players would feature.
An hour leading up to the USMNT’s international friendly against Jamaica on Wednesday, it was a pleasant surprise to hear Yueill would be starting during his first senior international cap.
In the 59th minute, Lima entered the match for Tim Ream, making his third international cap with the senior team. The USMNT would go on to lose 1-0 as head coach Gregg Berhalter continues to give opportunities to new players.
