Nick Lima was included in the starting XI for the United States friendly vs. Venezuela on Sunday night. While the match didn’t turn out the way the USMNT wanted, Nick Lima had a few shining moments during the match.
Nick sent in a dangerous cross in the 34th minute that found its way to Weston McKennie whose effort was denied by the Venezuelan keeper. Nick was also able to break free down the right flank in stoppage time of the second half and send in a low cross to Paul Arriola whose attempt went just wide of the far post.
The United States ultimately fell 3-0 to Venezuela. Nick will look to continue making an impact with the United States during the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup which kicks off on Tuesday, June 18 in Minnesota when they take on Guyana.
