The United States Men's National Team battled Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday night for the first time since the Soca Warriors knocked out the U.S. in World Cup qualifying two years ago. Fortunately, for the USMNT, this matchup had a different ending with the USMNT routing Trinidad and Tobago 6-0.
Earthquakes defender, Nick Lima, featured in the starting XI once again for the USMNT. In an article from MLSSoccer.com, Nick was the second highest rated defender on the night with his performance during the match. Nick provided a perfect headed pass to Gyasi Zardes in the 65th minute to put the U.S. ahead 2-0.
Here are some of your reactions from his performance:
Shoutout to my guy Nick Lima for scoring a bank shot off of Zardes tonight. Get in.— DAN (@DanSports2) June 23, 2019
Pretty good showing from Nick Lima, IMO. Just competently handles the business of a modern fullback.— Charles Boehm (@cboehm) June 23, 2019
