The signing of Mexican winger Carlos Fierro excited both fans and media outlets alike. The young winger signed with the San Jose Earthquakes on June 25 on a permanent transfer. Fierro played under Quakes head coach Matias Almeyda during his time at Chivas de Guadalajara. Matias had high praise for Fierro and hopes that his skills will carry over to the Quakes.
