California Clasico

Limited tickets remain for Saturday’s California Clasico!

Shea Salinas - Celebration - 2017 - Stanford

The annual meeting between the San Jose Earthquakes and rival LA Galaxy at Stanford Stadium has drawn north of 50,000 fans every season since the California Clasico’s conception in 2012. The 2019 edition is shaping up to be another sell-out crowd, with limited tickets remaining.

Limited tickets remaining for California Clasico!

Both the Earthquakes (6-6-4) and Galaxy (10-6-1) have had strong starts to the season and are two of the top six teams in the Western Conference. Tomorrow’s Clasico at Stanford takes place with both San Jose and LA above the playoff line for the first time since 2012.

The Quakes have lost just one of their last 10 matches (5-1-4) and are among Major League Soccer’s best teams since the start of April. Meanwhile, the Galaxy started the season 7-1-1, but have dropped five of eight since (3-5-0).

The Galaxy are led by Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored in each of his first five appearances of the season (7 goals total). He continues to provide must-see entertainment at the age of 37 and his 11 goals this season rank second most in MLS.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and if you’re (unfortunately) not able to attend, you can watch on NBC Sports California.
