The inaugural Leagues Cup is set to kickoff on July 23 with four MLS sides and four Liga MX sides taking part. MLS and Liga MX also released an announcement on Friday stating that the tournament will double in size in 2020 from eight participating teams to 16, eight teams from each league. Included in Friday's announcement was information on how teams will qualify for next years Leagues Cup tournament.
