FANTASY: Quakes players to look out for in week 21

Cristian Espinoza - Team of the Week

Now that week 21 of the MLS Fantasy is underway, it's time to draft your team. Here are some of the Quakes players that you should consider:
Florian Jungwirth ($7m) has been an absolute rock in defense for the Quakes. Matias Almeyda's man marking system seems to fit the style of play of Jungwirth exceptionally. His aggressiveness and pace allow him to shut down dangerous attackers (much like Zlatan) and keep them quiet. Putting Florian Jungwirth in your backline is a safe bet.
It's a shame that you can only choose three players from any given team, because the Quakes midfielders have been incredibly effective this season. The standouts are obviously Vako ($8.2m), Cristian Espinoza ($8.9m), and Magnus Eriksson ($9.2m). Vako has been on fire in recent weeks with five goals and two assists in his last five games. Cristian Espinoza just recorded his ninth assist of the season. His pace and skill down the wing will always pose a threat and allow him to put the ball into dangerous areas. Magnus Eriksson has also been a man in form. He recorded his fourth goal of the season against Vancouver that secured all three points for the Quakes. That's not it for the midfield though. Jackson Yueill ($8.7m) and Shea Salinas ($6.2m) have also been consistent throughout the season, with both players averaging around five points per game. You've got your options in the midfield.
The Quakes currently have Chris Wondolowski ($7.2m) and Danny Hoesen ($6.9m) as options up top. Wondolowski bagged his team-leading ninth goal of the season against Vancouver and Hoesen has scored two goals in his last three games for the Quakes. The Quakes forwards are great options to fill in a squad if you are in need of a forward for a reasonable price.
Lastly, looking at matchups is vital when drafting your team. The Quakes are taking on 11th place Colorado Rapids at home this week. The Earthquakes are undefeated at home since April 1 and the Rapids have the fifth worst goal differential in the league. For how dominant the Quakes are at home and how susceptible the Rapids are at the back, including Quakes players in your fantasy team might have a good payoff.
