Reno 1868 FC were bowed out from the 2019 USL Championship Playoffs following a 3-1 defeat to Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday afternoon at Greater Nevada Field.
Forward Corey Hertzog tallied 1868 FC’s lone goal of the match just five minutes into the Western Conference Quarterfinals, his 19th goal of the year. Sacramento Republic FC equalized in the ninth minute and tallied two more goals in the second half to seal the victory for the visiting side.
Quakes goalkeeper Matt Bersano and midfielders Kevin Partida and Eric Calvillo were featured in the Starting XI for 1868 FC. Bersano recorded 19 starts and five shutouts for Reno in 2019. Partida made 11 starts and tallied an assist. Calvillo registered eight starts.
1868 FC enjoyed their best season in franchise history, setting new club records in wins (18), points (60) and road wins (10).
