EARTHQUAKES MIDFIELDER JACKSON YUEILL
On returning to the Quakes after U.S. National Team camp:

“It was good to be back with the squad. A lot of hard work has gone into these last couple weeks, but I’m happy to be back with San Jose and am excited about the season ahead.”

On if he used anything in today’s match that he learned with the USMNT:

“We like to talk about intensity and here we like to talk about it as well. I think just gaining more confidence in the midfield and coming out intense to start the season is going to be critical for us.”

On what worked well offensively for them today:

“I think moving the ball wide and moving it quick. We had a lot of good chances with Danny [Hoesen] playing a little but under [Andy Rios] and Vako and Cristian were able to take wide areas and make good crosses in. Overall, we’re ahead of where we were last year and that’s a good start for us.”
