Ever imagine designing your own Earthquakes jersey?
You'll get the chance to try your hand at jersey design during MLS Jersey Week, presented by adidas.
This weekend — Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24 — fans will have the opportunity to create their own digital version of their favorite club's adidas jersey on Instagram and Snapchat. And we're providing all the tools you need:
- Blank jersey silhouette
- Official club colors
- Club & league logos
- Design elements: stripes, symbols, shapes and patterns searchable in Instagram
- Sticker sets to cut out on Snapchat
You'll be able to screenshot and design your jersey within Instagram stories and Snapchat stories. (Browse or download the templates)
Post your final product via your Instagram or Snapchat story and tag your club and @adidasfootball. We'll also showcase some of the most creative and original designs on the league's digital and social media channels.
Instagram Stories
- Check out @MLS on Instagram or your own local club’s Instagram story to get started
- Screenshot Slide 2 of the story to use as your base. This slide will contain the official club name, logo, and color palette (for color matching!)
- Select your base color to start with by searching #MLSJersey within Instagram Stories
- Decorate your custom jersey using the IG drawing tools, emojis, text and your own pictures
- We’ve also created a special sticker set to help with the decorating, search the following on Instagram Story to get some more fun things to work with:
- #MLSStripes – pinstripes, hoops, and stripes
- #MLSPatterns – checkers, polka dots and camo
- #MLSShapes – colored jersey halves and quarters
- If you’re adding a lot of elements, screenshot your current work and continue to build off that screenshot
- Finish off your creation by adding your favorite MLS Club logo using #MLSLogo in the Instagram Story search bar
- Post your final creation to your own Instagram story tagging @mls, @adidasfootball, and your local club handle
- Best submissions will be re-shared to league and club channels throughout the weekend
Snapchat Stories
- Check out @MLS on Snapchat or your own local club’s Snapchat story to get started
- Screenshot Slide 2 of the story to use as your base. This slide will contain the official club name, logo, and color palette (for color matching!)
- Select your base color to start with by cutting out your preferred color using the Snapchat sticker (scissors) tool
- We’ve also created a special sticker set to help with the decorating, screenshot the colored jersey elements page(s) that you want.
- Using your preferred color sticker set, use the Snapchat sticker (scissors) tool to cut out the jersey design features you want.
- Pro tip – zooming in on the element that you want makes it easier to cut out and make a sticker with
- Add all of the stickers that you’ve cut out to your creation by selecting the Sticker button
- Further decorate your custom jersey using the Snapchat drawing tools, emojis, and text
- If you’re adding a lot of elements, screenshot your current work and continue to build off that screenshot
- Finish off your creation by adding your favorite MLS Club logo by cutting out the logo available on the slide as a sticker
- Post your final creation to your own Instagram story tagging @mls, @adidasfootball, and your local club handle
