SAN JOSE, Calif. – For the third year in a row, the Quakes Foundation, in partnership with the Spartan East Side Promise (SESP), will be awarding a scholarship to one deserving student. The recipient will be provided with a full year’s tuition and other expenses for their first year at San Jose State University.
The Spartan East Side Promise is a collaboration between San Jose State University and the East Side Union High School District, with the goal of offering guaranteed admission to qualified students within the district. Through a variety of interactive programming, the SESP provides a pathway to admission at SJSU by clearly specifying the admission requirements and sharing information about resources for academic success with students and families.
Chosen by the Quakes Foundation board, the scholarship will be awarded to one deserving student that was admitted to SJSU through the Spartan East Side Promise and has shown a commitment to education and community involvement.
Eligible students can apply here between June 2 and June 21.
