SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that NBC Sports Bay Area & California and KSTS Telemundo 48 will provide special television programming of the Quakes ahead of and during the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando, Fla.
The last team to be approved to return to the training field, the Earthquakes later became the first MLS club to arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort on June 24 and have been documenting their travels, training sessions and more for these exclusive shows.
“We’re thrilled to partner with NBC Sports Bay Area & California and Telemundo 48 on this exciting new slate of programming,” said Earthquakes Executive Vice President Jed Mettee. “We want to use this platform to provide our fans with a front-row seat to all the action on the field and also provide a first-hand account of the unique experience in Orlando.”
NBC Sports Bay Area & California will feature a five-part series called Earthquakes Exclusive throughout the month of July. The show will debut on Thursday, July 2 at 5:30 p.m. PT on NBC Sports California. Presented by Quakes in-stadium host Taylor Amarante, Studio 74’s Earthquakes Exclusive will cover San Jose’s progress throughout the MLS is Back Tournament on NBC Sports. The five-part series will feature behind-the-scenes footage from Orlando, player features, special guests, interviews, and more.
The Quakes will also produce an extensive pre-tournament show in Spanish on Telemundo 48 that airs Sunday, July 5 at 1 p.m. PT. Presented by head sports anchor Carlos Ramirez, Telemundo 48’s ¡Vamos Quakes: Rumbo a Orlando! (Go Quakes: Heading to Orlando!) will display a detailed overview of how the Quakes have navigated their journey since the stoppage of the 2020 MLS season in March. Topics include players quarantine lifestyles, special team features, and their experience flying to Orlando in preparation for the highly anticipated World Cup-style competition. Telemundo 48 will continue to run Quakes features and updates on the Noticiero Telemundo 48 sports segments.

The San Jose Earthquakes will take on the defending MLS Cup champions Seattle Sounders FC on Friday, July 10 (7:30 p.m. PT; ESPN), presented by Intermedia, before facing Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Wednesday, July 15 (7:30 p.m. PT; TUDN), presented by CEFCU, and FC Dallas on Monday, July 20 (5 p.m. PT; TUDN).
