VIEWING PARTY: Quakes to Host Drive-In Viewing Parties for MLS is Back Tournament

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will host free drive-in viewing parties at Earthquakes Stadium, presented by Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC), for the team’s three group stage matches in the MLS is Back Tournament.


The Earthquakes will take on the defending MLS Cup champions Seattle Sounders FC on Friday,  July  10 (7:30  p.m.  PT),  presented by Intermedia, before facing Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Wednesday, July 15 (7:30 p.m. PT), presented by CEFCU, and FC Dallas on Monday, July 20 (5 p.m. PT).


The first drive-in viewing party on July 10 will feature live showings of the match in two locations: the 7UP Epicenter with limited VIP spacing, and in the Tailgate Lot outside of the venue. Fans will get to park their cars on the grass of the 7UP Epicenter and view the match on the stadium videoboard that faces Coleman Ave. Fans in the Tailgate Lot will enjoy the match on a giant video display that will include an FM signal for match audio.


Viewing parties for the matches against Vancouver and Dallas will exclusively take place in the 7UP Epicenter.


The Earthquakes will begin accepting reservations from Season Ticket Holders on Friday, July 3 at 3 p.m. PT. Reservations will be available to the general public starting Saturday, July 4 at 3 p.m. PT. While parking and admission are free, all fans must RSVP to attend. Due to limited availability, fans are asked to only RSVP for one of the viewing parties to ensure opportunities for others to join.

The Quakes Foundation will also have representatives on-site to accept food and relief-item donations to benefit the African American Community Services Agency (AACSA) CARES Program. More details on safety procedures and requested donation items will be sent to fans who RSVP for the events.


The Earthquakes continue to work closely with Santa Clara County officials on the appropriate social distancing and sanitary protocols for all future stadium events. Stadium staff will ensure that enhanced measures are performed before, during, and after each event at Earthquakes Stadium.


The San Jose International Airport is “ready for travelers, who are ready to travel” and has enacted a number of health and safety measures in the Airport to enable safe travel.
