What is Leagues Cup?

Leagues Cup returns to North America for year two, bringing MLS and Liga MX giants in a dynamic knockout tournament. Over the course of four weeks, three countries and two leagues will fight to be crowned the sole champion.

What are the Knockout Round Rules?

Each Leagues Cup knockout game is a win-or-go-home match. If tied after 90 minutes, the match will go directly into a penalty shootout. The winner of our match (LAFC vs SJ) will advance to the Quarterfinals against the winner of the Round of 16 matchup between Pumas and the Seattle Sounders.

Who could we face next?

Keep an eye out on the matchup between Pumas UNAM and the Seattle Sounders on Monday, August 12. The winner of this match will take on the winner of our match. If we advance and Pumas advances, we would host the Liga MX side in the Quarterfinals.

What do I need to know about LAFC?

Los Angeles FC have proven themselves as one of Major League Soccer's main forces. Since their founding in 2014, the Black & Gold were named MLS Champions once and Supporters' Shield winners twice. In our last 12 matches against the SoCal side, we've tallied a 7-4-1 winning record.

Golden Boot Leader

Star forward Jeremy Ebobisse scored two goals against Club Necaxa to bring his 2024 Leagues Cup tally to four goals in three matches. The 27-year-old currently leads the Leagues Cup Golden Boot race and was named to the 50 Greatest Quakes list earlier this year.
