2026 PIF Sweepstakes

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF MONEY IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF MONEY WILL NOT IMPROVE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.

SPONSOR: The Sweepstakes is sponsored and administered by Earthquakes Soccer, LLC d/b/a the San Jose Earthquakes, 1123 Coleman Ave., San Jose, CA 95110. (“Sponsor” or “Club”).

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 am PST on July 1, 2025, and ends at 11:59:59 pm PST on October 22, 2025 (“Entry Period”). The clock of the Sponsor will be the official timekeeper for this Sweepstakes.

ELIGIBILITY: The 2026 PIF Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal United States residents who have primary residence within a one hundred (100) mile radius of PayPal Park, 1123 Coleman Ave, San Jose, CA 95110 (the “Territory”), who are of legal age of majority in the jurisdiction in which they reside (and at least 18 years old) at the time of entry. Employees, officers, contractors, and directors (including immediate family members (spouse, parent, child and sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household, whether or not related) of Sponsor, Major League Soccer, L.L.C. (“MLS”), and Soccer United Marketing, LLC (“SUM” and collectively with Sponsor and MLS, the “MLS Entities”) and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate or win a prize. Non-eligibility or non-compliance with any of these Official Rules will result in disqualification. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. (For the avoidance of doubt, any references in these Official Rules to Entrants shall also include the Entrant who is deemed the Winner (as defined below)).

AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: By participating, eligible entrants (each, an “Entrant”) agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Winning the Prize (as defined below) is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES: Entrants can enter the Sweepstakes during the Entry Period in two (2) ways:

1. Purchase San Jose Earthquakes season tickets for the 2026 season and pay in full by October 22, 2025.

2. To enter without purchasing season tickets, during the Entry Period, print your name, mailing address (including city, state, and ZIP code) email address, and the Sweepstakes name (i.e. “2026 PIF Sweepstakes”) on a 3.5" x 5" card, and mail, in an envelope with postage affixed, to: 2026 PIF Sweepstakes Entry, 1123 Coleman Ave., San Jose, CA 95110 (also an “Entry”). Mail-in Entries must be postmarked by the last day of the Entry Period and received by the drawing date as noted in these Official Rules. For each qualifying mail-in Entry, you will receive one (1) Entry into the Sweepstakes. Mail-in Entries will not be returned.

Limit one (1) Entry per person regardless of method of entry. Confirmation of purchase of Quakes season tickets is not considered proof by Sponsor of an Entry. Entries made by any other individual or any entity, and/or originating at any other website or email address, including, but not limited to, commercial Sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering service sites, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this Sweepstakes. The use of automated Entry devices is prohibited, and no mechanically reproduced Entries are allowed; all such Entries are void. Released Parties are not responsible for: late, incomplete, delayed, undelivered, or misdirected Entries.

PRIZES: One (1) winner will receive two (2) tickets to an away San Jose Earthquakes regular season game in the 2026 season, roundtrip airfare for two (2) from a Bay Area airport to an airport near the game location and one (1) hotel room near the game location (the “Trip Prize”). Fifty (50) winners will receive $300 on Food & Beverage credit to be used at any home San Jose Earthquakes game at PayPal Park during either the remainder of the 2025 season or during the 2026 season (“Food and Beverage Prize”).

Ticket Prizes and Grand Prize may collectively be referred to in these official Rules as the “Prizes”.

Limit one (1) prize per person.

Trip Prize Conditions

The Winner of the Trip Prize, upon the Sponsor’s confirmation of eligibility, will receive (i) two (2) tickets to an away San Jose Earthquakes game in the U.S. during the 2026 regular season (the game and location to be determined by Sponsor after consultation with the winner) for winner and one (1) guest; (ii) round-trip economy air transportation for two (2) from a Bay Area airport (e.g. SFO, OAK) to an airport near the game location; and (iii) one (1) hotel room near the game location. All other costs and expenses associated with the Trip Prize and use thereof, including but not limited to any transportation costs, luggage fees, meals, gratuities and other expenses are the sole responsibility of Winner. All Trip Prize details, including the game tickets to be awarded, are at Sponsor’s sole discretion unless otherwise set forth herein. Winner’s guest must be of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence, unless the guest is the child or legal ward of Winner. The Trip Prize has an approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $3,000.00.

Winner and guest will be responsible for, at their own cost:

• Passports, visas and any other travel-related documents needed for travel;
• medical insurance for covering medical, evacuation, and repatriation while travelling,
• all other expenses that are not stated above as included in the Trip Prize, including but not limited to: any additional costs for baggage fees, vehicle rental, travel and medical insurance, visas or travel related documentation, supplementary ground transportation or accommodations (including to/from the departure airport), gratuities, meals, food and beverages, telephone calls, in-room charges, personal services and incidentals. Winner and/or guest may be required to provide a valid major credit card or some other acceptable form of payment, as determined in the hotel's sole discretion, upon hotel check-in and all in-room charges, telephone calls, meals, beverages, hotel upgrades, amenities, personal incidentals and any other expenses charged to the winner's hotel room will be charged to that major valid credit card or deducted from the deposit provided. Sponsor is not responsible for any fees or additional charges resulting from Winner's or guest's changes to itinerary or accommodations.

Travel arrangements (including airline, hotel, hotel room type, transportation, etc.) are at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor and are subject to other restrictions set out herein. Travel is subject to terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and those set forth by selected travel providers. Availability may vary, and material restrictions may apply. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions, lost baggage or belongings, or substitutions, acts or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, hotels or other transportation companies or any other persons providing any of these services and accommodations to Winner and guest, such as changes in services or accommodations. If the Winner or guest cannot fully enjoy a Prize due to illness or any another reason, Sponsor shall be relieved of any liability for fulfillment of the Prize, and no other compensation in lieu of the Trip Prize will be awarded.

The Winner and guest must be available to attend the away game on its scheduled date. Should the Winner be unable to attend the game, the Trip Prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner in accordance with these rules, provided sufficient time remains prior to the trip.

The Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary and on dates designated by Sponsor. In the event the Winner or guest cannot travel on dates designated by Sponsor, Winner may be disqualified, and the Trip Prize may in the discretion of the Sponsor be awarded to an alternate winner in accordance with these rules provided sufficient time remains prior to the trip.

Food and Beverage Prize

The Winners of the Food and Beverage Prize, upon Sponsor’s confirmation of eligibility, will receive $300 on Food & Beverage credit to be used at any home San Jose Earthquakes game at PayPal Park during either the remainder of the 2025 season or during the 2026 season. The entirety of the Food and Beverage Prize needs to be used in one season (either the remainder of the 2025 season or the 2026 season), and the winner can select which eligible season he/she wants the Food and Beverage Prize to apply to. Any unused portion of the Food and Beverage Prize will be forfeited. Additional terms may apply. Each Food and Beverage Prize has an ARV of $300. Total ARV for all Food and Beverage Prizes is $15,000.

ADDITIONAL PRIZE CONDTIONS

Each Winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes) associated with a Prize. The Winner acknowledges and agrees that the value of their accepted Prize is taxable as income and an IRS Form 1099 will be filed in the name of the Winner for the value of the Prize, and the Winner is solely responsible for all matters relating to the Prize after it is awarded.

Each Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions or substitutions except at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any Prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole and absolute discretion. Game, event, and exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of MLS, the applicable MLS team and/or the applicable third party and may be subject to change. Exact seat locations will be determined by Sponsor. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as prizes will govern in the event a game, event or exhibition, as defined by MLS or Sponsor, is not played due to weather, an Act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance, work stoppage or any other reason. Winner and his/her guest(s) agree to comply with all applicable stadium regulations in connection with the Prize. Sponsor and the applicable MLS Entities or third party running the game or event reserve the right to remove or deny entry to Winner and/or his/her guest(s) who engage(s) in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at any game, event or exhibition. Released Parties (as defined below) will not be responsible for weather, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other event that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any game, event or exhibition. By accepting the Prize, the Winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of the Prize. The potential Winner may be asked to sign and return to the Sponsor within three (3) days of the date of notice or attempted notice is sent, an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release in order to claim the Prize. The Winner may also be asked to complete an IRS Form W9. The Affidavit sent to a potential Winner may require that the Winner provide their Social Security Number to the Sponsor, which will be used solely for tax reporting purposes.

If a Prize or Prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to a potential Winner, if a potential Winner cannot be reached or does not comply with notification instructions within three (3) days from the first notification attempt, if a potential Winner fails to return requisite document(s) within the specified time period, if a potential Winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, or if a potential Winner cannot attend the game associated with the Prize, then such person shall be disqualified and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, an alternate Winner may be selected.

By accepting the Prize, where permitted by law, the Winner grants to the Released Parties and those acting pursuant to the authority of Sponsor and the Released Parties (which grant will be confirmed in writing upon Sponsor’s request), the right to print, publish, broadcast and use worldwide IN ALL MEDIA without limitation at any time their full name, portrait, Sweepstakes Entry, voice, likeness and/or biographical information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further payment or additional consideration, and without review, approval or notification.

DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION: The potential prize winners (each, a “Winner”) will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received during the Entry Period on or around October 29, 2025. The Prize drawing will be conducted by the Club, whose decisions are final and binding. The potential Winner will be contacted by the Sponsor via phone or email provided. Odds of winning the Prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received throughout the Sweepstakes Period.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY/PUBLICITY RELEASE: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about Entrants in accordance with its privacy policy. Please review the relevant privacy policy at http://www.mlssoccer.com/privacy-policy. By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants hereby agree to Sponsor’s and Club’s collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor’s privacy policies. Entrants who consent to sharing their provided information with the Sponsor will be eligible to receive information regarding the Sponsor through mail, electronic transmission, and other forms of telecommunication. Entrants to the Sweepstakes may be given the option to receive communications including, but not limited to: (a) commercial e-mails from Sponsor and/or MLS Entities; and/or (b) phone calls, mobile text messages, and electronic updates from Sponsor and/or MLS Entities; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon Entrant’s consent to receive such e-mails and/or mobile text messages and consenting to do so will not increase your chances of winning. Standard messaging rates apply. Check with your mobile service provider for more information. To stop receiving such communications, please follow any unsubscribe or “stop” prompts in the electronic communication received or send a letter to San Jose Earthquakes, PayPal Park, 1123 Coleman Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110, Attn: Legal Department.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: If for any reason the operation or administration of this Sweepstakes is impaired or incapable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to (i) infection by computer virus, bugs; (ii) tampering, unauthorized intervention; (iii) fraud; (iv) technical failures or (v) any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the Entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and award the Prize (defined below) using all non-suspect eligible Entries received as of, or after (if applicable) this cancellation, termination, modification or suspension date, or in any manner that is fair and equitable and best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual deemed to be tampering or attempting to tamper with the Entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or Sponsor’s Website; or acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE; THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a Winner based on an email address, the winning entry will be declared to have been made by the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the registration in question. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, the MLS Entities, and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of the Prize (defined below), including, but not limited to: (i) lost, late, illegible, stolen, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, postage due, late delivered, technically corrupted or garbled Entries, comments, posts, or messages, which will be disqualified; (ii) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (iii) printing errors; (iv) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of Entries; or (v) injury, death, or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt of any Prize. Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries. Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or Entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. Entrants further agree that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney fees. Entrants waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

Except as expressly provided above, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IN NO EVENT WILL RELEASED PARTIES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES) ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF, OR ANY HARM RESULTING FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF A PRIZE.

By participating, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Entrants release and agree to hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability for any injuries, death or losses or damages to persons or property AS WELL AS CLAIMS/ACTIONS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, AND/OR INVASION OF PRIVACY that may arise from participating in this Sweepstakes or its related activities or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of, or any harm resulting from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a Prize. Released Parties are not liable in the event that any portion of the Sweepstakes is cancelled due to weather, fire, strike, acts of war or terrorism, pandemic, or any other condition beyond their control.

EACH ENTRANT UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT ALL RIGHTS UNDER SECTION 1542 OF THE CIVIL CODE OF CALIFORNIA AND ANY SIMILAR LAW OF ANY STATE OR TERRITORY OF THE USA ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY WAIVED BY HIM/HER. SECTION 1542 READS AS FOLLOWS:

“A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE AND THAT, IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER, WOULD HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR RELEASED PARTY.”

DISPUTES: By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrants agree that i) Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any Prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; ii) Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes but in no event attorney fees and iii) Under no circumstances will any Entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Entrants and Sponsor or the Released Parties in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with United States law. Any legal proceedings arising out of this Sweepstakes or relating to these Official Rules shall be instituted only in the federal or state courts of California, and the parties consent to jurisdiction therein with respect to any legal proceedings or disputes of whatever nature arising under or relating to these Official Rules. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.

SEVERABILITY: The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of the Official Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, the other provisions will remain in effect and will be construed as if the invalid or unenforceable provision were not contained herein.

MISCELLANEOUS: These Official Rules contain the full and complete understanding with respect to the Sweepstakes and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations and understandings, whether oral or written. The headings herein are for convenience only, do not constitute a part of these Official Rules, and shall not be deemed to limit or affect any of the provisions hereof. No amendment to, or waiver of, any provision of these Official Rules shall be effective unless in writing and signed by Sponsor. The waiver by Sponsor of any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of any other provision herein. The rights and obligations hereunder may not be assigned by Entrants, whether by operation of law or otherwise, without the prior written consent of Sponsor, and any attempted assignment in violation of the foregoing shall be null and void. These Official Rules shall be binding upon, and insure to the benefit of, the permitted successors and assigns of Sponsor and Entrant.

WINNERS’ LIST: For the name of the winner (available after October 29, 2025), mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to: 2026 PIF Sweepstakes Winners’ List, 1123 Coleman Ave., San Jose, CA 95110. Winners’ name requests must be received by November 14, 2025.
