The 2016 MLS SuperDraft takes place on Thursday, January 14, with the first pick to be selected at 10:12 a.m. PT. Earthquakes head coach Dominic Kinnear and general manager John Doyle spent the past weekend scouting prospects at the annual MLS Combine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. San Jose currently holds the eighth, 28th, 49th and 69th picks in the SuperDraft.


MISCELLANEOUS NOTES

Earthquakes Goalkeeper David Bingham added to U.S. National Team Camp Roster
San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper David Bingham has been added to the United States Men's National Team roster for the upcoming January Training Camp in Carson, Calif. The camp takes place at the StubHub Center from January 10 to February 6 and includes a pair of friendlies against Iceland on Jan. 31 and Canada on Feb. 5.

Earthquakes Announce 2016 Regular Season Schedule
The San Jose Earthquakes unveiled their 2016 regular season schedule Thursday morning, which includes 16 matches at Avaya Stadium and a return to Stanford Stadium for the California Clasico against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, June 25.

Earthquakes Sign Amarikwa, Stewart to New Contracts
The San Jose Earthquakes announced that the club has signed forward Quincy Amarikwa and defender Jordan Stewart to new contracts. Per league and team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Earthquakes Sign Jamaican International Midfielder Simon Dawkins as Designated Player
The San Jose Earthquakes announced that the club has signed Jamaican international midfielder Simon Dawkins as a Designated Player. Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Dawkins, who has spent the past three years playing the English Premier League and English Championship, returns to San Jose where he spent two seasons on loan from 2011-12. Over the two seasons, the 28-year-old winger made 40 starts in 53 league appearances, scoring 14 goals and adding three assists. Dawkins and forward Chris Wondolowski are the only Earthquakes to score six or more goals in consecutive seasons since the club’s return to Major League Soccer in 2008. He is also the only midfielder in club history to score 14 or more goals over a two-year period. Dawkins helped San Jose claim its second Supporters’ Shield in 2012.

Earthquakes, MLS WORKS and Wells Fargo Unveil Turf Field for Bay Area Youth
The San Jose Earthquakes, MLS WORKS and Wells Fargo officially unveiled and dedicated a newly installed small-sided turf field as part of the America Scores Bay Area Field of Dreams Initiative at Bret Harte Elementary School on Friday, Jan. 8.  The project highlights the efforts of 2015 MLS WORKS Community MVP Contest presented by Wells Fargo finalist Roberto Gil for his contributions to the local community. Players from the San Jose Earthquakes, including Tommy Thompson, team mascot Q, and additional representatives from the club, Wells Fargo, Major League Soccer, and America SCORES Bay Area were also in attendance.
