NEWS: Earthquakes Claim Goalkeeper Jacob Jackson Off Waivers

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club claimed goalkeeper Jacob Jackson, formerly of the New England Revolution, off waivers.

“Jacob is a young, talented player with MLS experience,” said Earthquakes general manager Chris Leitch. “We’re looking forward to him competing in our goalkeeper group this year.”

Jackson, 24, played in 26 games for New England Revolution II across two seasons (2022-23), earning nine clean sheets and MLS NEXT Pro Goalkeeper of the Month honors in May 2022. At the first-team level, he made three appearances for the Revolution, making his Major League Soccer debut in October 2023.

A native of San Diego and graduate of the Real Salt Lake Academy, Jackson was selected 24th overall in the first round of the 2022 MLS SuperDraft out of Loyola Marymount University, where he was named Western Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and an All-West Coast Conference First Team selection in 2020 and 2021.
