SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper Daniel successfully underwent surgery to repair his hamstring on Wednesday. The surgery was performed by Dr. John Kao of West Coast Sports Institute and will keep him sidelined for four to six months.
Daniel suffered the injury at training last week. Since joining the Quakes ahead of the 2023 campaign, the 29-year-old Brazilian has made 26 appearances for the club. San Jose’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year ended last season with 3.88 saves per 90 minutes, ranking second in Major League Soccer among players with over 1,800 minutes played.
