SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes defender Miguel Trauco has been called to the Peru National Team for a training camp ahead of two international friendlies later this month. The final roster of players that will be competing in those matches will be announced later.

Peru will host Paraguay on Wednesday, Nov. 16 (4:00 p.m. PT) at Estadio Monumental, before traveling to face Bolivia on Saturday, Nov. 19 (kickoff TBD) at Real Santa Cruz Stadium. After falling just short of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification, the two friendlies will give new head coach Juan Reynoso an opportunity to work with players during this window.

Trauco, 30, has made 68 prior appearances for the Peru National Team, including every Group Stage match during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, as well as helping Peru reach the 2022 FIFA World Cup inter-confederation playoff. The Tarapoto, Peru native joined the Quakes as a free agent on Sep. 2, 2022 and tallied two assists in three appearances (one start) this season.
